Growing up, Bruce showed early and persistent signs of wanderlust and rarely missed an opportunity to travel. After attending the University of Pennsylvania, he spent time exploring the Russia during the last days of the Soviet Union and China when it was reopened to foreign visitors in the wake of the cultural revolution in the 1970s. After working as a specialist at Sotheby's and subsequently as a dealer focusing on 18th century furniture, he crossed over to a career as a luxury travel consultant with extensive experience in Asia.
