Cynthia Sin-Yi Cheng
Champagne specialist Cynthia Sin-Yi Cheng is the founder of cyn-et-vin, a New York-based company specializing in wine-tasting events. She is also the wine editor of the online food and wine magazine, Cravings (findyourcraving.com), the Champagne and sparkling-wine instructor at Murray’s Cheese, and a founding member of the Shanghai Wine Society. An avid traveler, Cynthia has lived and worked in Boston, Taipei, Los Angeles, Aix-en-Provence, Paris and Kyoto. She is fluent in French and Mandarin and proficient in Japanese. Her articles have appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle Magazine, Golf Connoisseur and other publications. She received her B.A. in Art History from Smith College in 1992 and her M.A. from Columbia University in French Cultural Studies in 1994. Her wine credentials include an advanced certificate with distinction from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET). In addition to her love of wine, she is a member of the Urasenke Tea Ceremony Society. Cynthia lives in New York City.
