Four Seasons Bora Bora
Located immediately next door to the St. Regis and scheduled to open in 2008 is a Four Seasons Bora Bora. Though little information has been released, it’s known that it will have 100 over-water bungalows. The suites, six two-bedroom and one presidential, will have their own private beach area. Each bungalow will have a large soaking tub with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors opening onto a private terrace. A spa will include three couples’ treatment pavilions and five private rooms. Two main restaurants are planned, though no chef has been named. To attract families, there will be a kids’ club and a teen center.
French architects Pierre-Jean Picar and Didier Lefort are designing the resort. Picar has lived in French Polynesia for two decades and has collaborated on other luxury properties in the region. Rooms from $995.
