Casa Alborada
This three-bedroom Moorish-meets-hacienda style house on the Cuixmala property overlooks the ranch’s coconut plantation as it rolls down toward the private beach. Decorated by Alix Marcaccini, one of Goldsmith’s daughters, the house is a rambling one-story structure with open verandahs, courtyards and a breezy Mexican design and a global nomad’s sense of style. Bright azure painted doors and shutters contrast with the terra-cotta roof tiles and terra-cotta toned stucco walls and play off the blue of the central pool. Hot pink cushions spice up the traditional wicker furniture. And bedrooms are similar to those in La Loma, which remind one of the best rooms in Aegean sea houses: molded cave-like walls bathed in the whitest of white paint and cooled with glossy blue accents and tiles. Giant urns spilling tropical flowers appear around every corner and palm trees provide shade over meandering brick walkways. A staff, including a cook, comes with the house and will cater all meals to clients wishes, with most ingredients coming from the organic gardens and cattle farm of the Goldsmith’s mountain hacienda. Rates from $2,000 to $3,500 per night, depending on the season.

Casa Puma
Another three-bedroom hacienda-style house with views of the coconut plantation and the private beach in the distance, Casa Puma is slightly less grand than Casa Alborada. The exterior walls are a soft butter yellow and Alix used lots of blue and white accents for a Provencal palette. The fantastic vaulted brick ceilings offer a rustic, grand aesthetic that perfectly matches the ranch/fantasy fiefdom of the location. Of course, it also comes fully staffed and with a lovely swimming pool. Rates from $1,500 to $2,500 per night, depending on the season.
