“Bethells Beach Café is tucked into the sand dunes in my favorite of Auckland’s many wild west coast beaches: Bethell’s Te Henga. About 45 minutes west of the central city, it’s run out of an old caravan and serves the best coffee, home made carrot cake and fabulous burgers you’ll ever taste, made even better by the location. Only open in summer, and apart from the height of the season, it’s weekends only.”
