A Macchiotta

A Macchiotta is among the best affordable, authentic restaurants in this tiny ocher and pink fishing village. Sit on the upper terrace for a great view of the boats and the colorful nets and lobster cages made of hand-braided myrtle branches. Fisherman Henri Sker brings in his daily catch, and his wife, Anna, whips up delicious seafood salad, squid carpaccio and lobster spaghetti, but save room for a piece of homemade fiadone (Corsican cheesecake) for dessert.

Le Vieux Moulin

Le Vieux Moulin is pricier and more formal than nearby A Macchiotta, with a lovely shaded dining patio where diners at tables draped in white linen cloths feast on grilled lobster, mixed-seafood platters of shrimp and oysters or sardines à l’escabèche, served cold with a spicy marinade.
