Destination: France: Courchevel

Overview Text Size A A A

What Courchevel 1850, a town in the Savoie region of the French Alps, lacks in charm or shopping it more than makes up for in snow. As part of the Trois Vallées, it has access to the largest linked ski resort in the world: some 375 miles of groomed slopes and countless off-piste runs. And the resort’s high altitude means it gets snow from about a month before Christmas until well into April.

Who Should Go: Courchevel is great for skiers of all levels, and things never get dull on the slopes. Plus, the town offers the not-to-be-underestimated advantage of being a true ski-in-ski-out resort.
