Says Indagare Insider Agustina Lagos Marmol: “There’s so much to explore in the Dolomites that you have to come more than once. The area is formed by two regions: Trentino-Alto Adige and Veneto. Austrian and Italian culture blend together, which can be seen in the food and wine, as well as the hotels throughout the region. The Dolomites have many valleys; the most important ones to know are the Val Gardena, Val Badia and Valle d’Ampezzo (where Cortina is located). Smaller, lesser-knonw ones include Val Pusteria, Val di Zoldo, Valle di Livinallongo and Val di Fassa. Each is unique and keeps its own characteristics, including a local dialect.
