Archimede
Children’s clothing from a Belgian company that makes well-made classic lines. They also developed the “buoyancy” and built-in diaper swimsuits so if you have babies or toddlers that don’t swim, here’s the spot to find them suits. Many of their clothes have extra UV protection but with a traditional French kind of sensibility. Think nautical stripes and pastel colors, instead of fluorescent pink and yellow sun shirts.

Câliin
In a town where even the children’s clothing can verge on being too glamorous and high-fashion, Câlin is a boutique that values classic styles and artisinal craftsmanship. Their exquisite collection of baby’s smocked bloomers, cotton cardigans and knit booties make this the ideal place to find christening clothes or gifts.
Dino e Lucia
The founder of this label, Sieglinde de Plas, (the daughter of a fashion model who worked for Balenciaga) claims that she has been obsessed with fashion for as long as she can remember. After she had two children of her own, she finally launched this label. Private trunk show sales led to the most stylish children’s clothing boutiques quickly picking up the brand. Customers loved the boho-chic of the collections. This past April, she opened the first Dino e Lucia boutique. St.-Tropez seemed the ideal spot for its high-quality laid-back aesthetic. (“Dino” and “Lucia” are names that de Plas fancied as a 12-year-old, when she used them in a poem she wrote.)
Tropezino
If you are traveling with teenagers who get the shopping bug, which so many visiting this small but mighty fashion town, the best place to take them is Tropezino. The shop carries clothes for children age 0 to 16 but with an emphasis on trendy and logos, it’s better for older kids. Labels include Burberry, DKNY, Replay and Guess.
