Itinerary Advice

Hangzhou is a great addition for China visitors planning on primarily seeing major cities, like Beijing and Shanghai, and who crave a bit of traditional, rural China before heading back home. A couple of days spent relaxing at one of the world-class resorts here, coupled with some sightseeing, tea sampling (and purchasing) and hiking, would be a good conclusion to a busy China itinerary. I would not recommend starting a journey in Hangzhou, as there really is not much to do beyond rest and relaxation, and an ideal length of visit would not extend beyond three nights (two is probably perfect for most travelers).
