Lungarno Suites

The last time I was in Florence, with two teenagers in tow, we stayed in one of the spacious Lungarno suites, owned by the Ferragamo family, who has three other Florence hotels. The forty-four suites all include a small kitchenette as well as a comfortable living room. There’s no real lobby or restaurant, but guests can order room service, which is catered by the Gallery Hotel Art’s Fusion Bar. We didn’t mind the lack of common spaces usually found in a hotel, as we were extremely comfortable in our own private apartment. And those perfect river views helped as well—after all, when in Florence, what you want is a room with a view. Rooms from $352.
