If expense is no object, Restaurant Taillevent is very expensive but their food is really superior. For mortals, a new restaurant is Bistro or restaurant Le Souffle, 36 Rue Mont Thabor (between Rue Cambon and Rue de Castiglione, and so very central and just down from the Ritz and one block up from the Tuileries). Very small, reasonable prices, good soufflés of all kinds and other things too. More out of the way, but good and very French is Bistro Vaudeville, right opposite the Bourse - open on Sunday which Souffle is not,
