The Strip offers numerous options, many of which belong to the realm of luxury. Even in the upper echelons, however, hotels that have 3,000-plus rooms cannot provide the kind of service found at smaller venues. Most properties are working hard to solve that problem, and many now have special concierge floors or even whole towers where guests receive extra staff attention and amenities. If you hate casino action, some hotels offer wings or even freestanding outposts that have no gaming. For those seeking the ultimate in pampering, some hotels are now renting presidential suites that had previously been strictly for big gamblers. Always ask. If possible, you will be accommodated.
When choosing a resort, consider which shows, golf courses and restaurants are most important to you. For example, guests staying at Bellagio, where O is playing, will get the first and best seats to the show. On certain golf courses, it’s harder to get a tee time if you’re not staying at an associated resort—for Cascata, for example, it helps to be at a Harrah’s property such as Caesars Palace. Some hotels have packages that include dinner and a show, even delivering your tickets while you’re eating so you don’t have to wait in the pickup line.
