Why Go Now Text Size A A A

Some of our members are connoisseurs of beach villas. They can describe in photographic detail the view of the white sand beach from a memorable terrace in Thailand. And the Maldives. And the Turks and Caicos. They have traveled to Africa, Australia and South America in pursuit of perfect days by the sea. Depending on the season, they have favorite spots in the Pacific, the Caribbean and the Atlantic.

And it was of them that Indagare founder Melissa Bradley first thought when she recently toured the brand-new villas in Costa Smeralda—the first new villas to be built since the Aga Khan unveiled his string of five-star hotels in Sardinia in 1962. With incredible sensitivity to the natural surroundings, the architects and designers created stunning hideaways at Romazzino and Pitrizza that blend into the resorts and yet offer a quantum leap in luxury. The villas feature fireplaces, temperature-controlled stone floors, private pools and custom Loro Piana linens in the hotels’ signature colors.
