“Because it’s beautiful, it’s cozy yet sophisticated and because it’s the only place in the world for which I don’t over-pack. By day everyone’s in bathing suits with pareos (even in “town”) and by night ladies and often men are in flowing caftans, pajamas and evening flip flops. My shoes are off before I’m even out of the plane and rarely put on again till I leave. Oh, and if you should feel even the slightest bit sick, the island doctor, Michael Bunbury, is not only good but he’s charming and very attractive.”
