Holualoa Inn
This two-suite, four-bedroom bed and breakfast looms at 1,400 feet above the Kona Coast in the village of Holualoa, an artist’s community lined with galleries and studios. Built nearly thirty years ago as a private vacation home, the inn sits on a thirty-acre Kona Coffee estate, which adjoins a working cattle ranch. Cassandra Hazen, who purchased it in 2005, has added high-thread-count linens in rooms with rich eucalyptus floors, ceiling fans, private sitting rooms in the suites and sweeping ocean and garden views. In the garden are a pool and a large hot tub. Rooms from $286.
