Considering its luxury mission, Deer Valley has remained surprisingly free of brand-name luxury hotels. That’s going to change this year when the St. Regis Resort & Residences open. Until now, the obvious luxury choice has been the Stein Eriksen Lodge, with the European-boutique option being the Goldener Hirsch. But Deer Valley, because it draws so many families, has always had the majority of its visitors renting condos or houses. In fact, Deer Valley Central Reservations (800-558-DEER/3337) allows you to book private houses or condos through a central phone number or its Web site, and ResortQuest (www.resortquest.com) and Mountain Reservations (www.mtnres.com), offer condos and houses in Deer Valley with housekeeping service.
