Insider Trips

Like many of our favorite features, Indagare Insider Trips grew out of an inspired exchange between our founder and members. These carefully scouted journeys always include insider access and exciting immersion in far-flung destinations to offer members a rich and rewarding way to explore the world. As space is extremely limited, spots are first offered to alumni of previous Insider Trips followed by Connoisseur members.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an Indagare Insider Trip?

An Indagare Insider Trip is a well mapped-out journey that has been scouted, vetted and planned by an Indagare editor, most often by founder Melissa Biggs Bradley. A small number of members can sign up to go on these tours, or put together their own group to join. The itineraries include a blend of the best of a destination with behind-the-scenes access and introductions to local insiders. Thanks to the intimate size of the trips and to Indagare’s connections, these trips entail much more than just sightseeing; each day is designed to offer maximum immersion in the destination’s history and culture.

What makes these trips special?

Every itinerary includes special additions such as private trunk shows, chef’s table dining, curator-led tours and other unique experiences not available to the regular traveler. During the course of the trips, members will meet with stylish locals and be shown their destination in the company of expert guides and plugged-in residents.

Who gets invited?

Initial invitations are extended to alumni of past Insider Trips, then to Connoisseur members. Most trips book up immediately. If spots remain, they are offered to the Elite and Basic members of our community. Note: To join an Indagare Insider Trip, you must be an Indagare member (mailing list subscribers can upgrade by contacting our team at

Can I recreate an Insider Trip?

Absolutely. Most Insider Trips can be customized for a large family and/or a group of friends, though some of the itinerary inclusions may vary depending on the availability of our specialists and local sources. Contact our bookings team to help you get started.

Who hosts these trips?

The debut Insider Trip to a given destination is hosted by Indagare founder Melissa Biggs Bradley, who knows the trip destinations intimately and often scouts the trips herself before bringing a group. Subsequent trips may be hosted by Indagare travel specialists or local ambassadors.

What are some Insider destinations?

We have organized trips to Morocco, Turkey, Mexico’s Riviera Maya, India, Nicaragua, Brazil, Russia, Jordan, Cuba and Myanmar as well as spa trips to California, Arizona and Mexico. Some upcoming trips include Bhutan, China, Cuba and Myanmar.
