Review
Don't let the minimalist façade and subdued setting fool you: This is one of the most service-oriented, family-friendly hotel experiences in town (though it’s also a good place to be based for business, since it’s located in downtown Miami). The newly renovated 221 rooms are bright and feature a contemporary coastal aesthetic. And regardless of whether the views are of the bay or of the city, all are fantastic.
There are two pools available to hotel guests, a lavish 50,000-square-foot spa and two dining outlets, the alfresco Bahia and all-day restaurant, Edge. For a scene, don’t miss Bahia bar during Friday-night happy hour, when deejays spin a mix of lounge, groove and Brazilian jazz. Those who like a good workout will enjoy the Equinox gym with state-of-the-art equipment and fun classes, which are accessed by a breezeway.
Who Should Stay
Those who have to spend the night between flights via Miami airport, or business travelers looking to add on a few days of downtime in Miami.
