Indagare Travel, the trend-setting members-only luxury travel company, has been included in the "Fast 50" list of New York's fastest-growing companies by Crain's New York Business. The distinction goes to firms that are "setting the pace for the rest of New York." For four years, Crain's has awarded this recognition to innovative and emergent companies, and past honorees have included such businesses as Refinery29, Shutterstock, Magnolia Bakery and Squarespace. This year, Indagare is ranked alongside BuzzFeed, Vice Media and Aden + Anais.
Indagare was named to this list due to its financial success and staffing growth. As #40 on the list, Indagare has seen revenue increase 423% in the past three years—from $2.9 million in 2011 to $15.6 million in 2014—while employee numbers have tripled to 38 in full-time staff.
CEO Melissa Biggs Bradley, who founded Indagare in 2007, chalks up much of the company's success to its community sourcing among staff and members. "Our staff includes 24 Travel Specialists, and everyone consults with each other on the details of the trips, so that each member gets the benefit of our collective travel intelligence."
With such a unique business model, Indagare is a disrupter in the space of travel planning. The company's passionate staff, comprised of people with myriad backgrounds ranging from finance and journalism to advertising and art, are constantly scouring the globe for the world's most extraordinary experiences.
We only feature hotels that we can vouch for first-hand. At many of them, Indagare members receive special amenities.
