Review
Two gleaming glass structures in Delhi’s “millennial city” of Gurgaon hold the Oberoi’s most sparkly property in the region. Two hundred and two rooms (each so spacious they could be categorized as junior suites) are decorated in muted tones, while the public spaces are soaring glass- and chrome-filled structures.
The hotel doubles as a shopper’s Mecca, with such high-end boutiques as Jimmy Choo, Burberry and Gucci. In fact, the Gucci store’s glowing logo is one of the first things visitors see as they drive up the property’s driveway, further emphasizing that the hotel belongs to the new, commercial India.
The 24-hour spa caters to the jet-lagged or lay-over travelers, as does the extensive food and beverage offering, especially at the Threesixtyone restaurant.
Who Should Stay
Travelers with quick turn-around times who would like to stay close to the airport. Anyone looking to visit the older sections of Delhi will have to travel much further to the city center than if they stayed at the Imperial or Lodhi.
