Dear Members,
In the first few weeks of our launch, you can expect new highlights and Destination Reports to be added daily. Every Wednesday, we will update this page with some of our favorite new postings.
Coming in the next weeks are Destination Reports on Venice, Monaco, Rome, Las Vegas, Dubai, Jaipur, Istanbul, Ibiza, the Pacific Northwest and Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.
These are some features already on the site not to be missed:
-The boutique hotel in Bali that doubles as a museum for its owner’s collection of Southeast Asian art and antiques.
-An engaging, first-hand account of a philanthropic “reality” trip to Zambia that transforms the California families who signed up for it.
-Dorothy Kalins (founder of Saveur magazine) on the special New York restaurants that draw her back again and again.
-A postcard from Beth Nickel of Far Niente Vineyards on her around-the-world jet trip.
-A new breed of English country house hotels where family and luxury go hand in hand.
-The New York design boutique that resembles a decorator showhouse, where everything is for sale.
-A round-up of the best restaurants in Basque country on both sides of the border.
-David Tang on what to see and do in Hong Kong.
-A new hideaway in Connecticut that should rival such New England retreats as Twin Farms and the Point
-A Q&A with Allegra Hicks on her shopping stops around the world.
-The newest hot spot in St. Tropez that was designed by Patrick Jouin (who created Alain Ducasse’s Mix in Las Vegas), where Thai chef Oth Sombath, formerly of Paris’s Blue Elephant draws crowds nightly.
-The best place in Beijing to eat Peking Duck: Li Quon Roast Duck Restaurant. Go soon before the hutong (traditional neighborhood) where it’s located is razed like those around it.
-An insider’s tips on navigating Art 38 Basel from a repeat fairgoer.
Plus first-hand accounts of spa trips to Bikini Boot Camp in Mexico, the Ashram in California and Body & Soul in Brazil, as well as highly personal suggested reading lists for dozens of destinations.
We hope that you enjoy exploring Indagare and that you will share your discoveries with us either by posting comments to the entries or by asking advice and joining discussions in our Community section.
