Good Intentions Text Size A A A

This year, I decided to give myself some extra help in keeping my new year’s resolution by reserving a few days at one of my favorite spas, Mii Amo. I know myself well enough to know that my good intentions aren’t enough to get me where I want to be. But with the extra boost of a spa regimen, I stand a better chance. To help inspire you, we’re sharing two incredible spa adventures, one luxurious, the other beach-basic, and both with special offers for Indagare members.

First to Go: Yoga on the Beach

What better way to kick-start a healthy new year than with four days of yoga on a 96-acre private island in the Bahamas? From January 11-14, Kamalame Cay is offering a spa and wellness long weekend hosted by Jo Hook, founder of Avatar Yoga Retreats. Click here to read more.

Need to Know: Spring in Tuscany and Andalusia

For those who like to rejuvenate in high style, In:Spa, dubbed “the Jimmy Choo of detox retreats” by Indagare reporter Daisy Finer, is the natural choice. The four-year-old British company offers week-long health escapes in such chic settings as Ibiza and Jnane Tamsna in Marrakech (click here to read Daisy’s review of the latter.) This spring, you can be the first to experience In:Spa’s latest European properties. Click here for details.

Member Insights

Ever wondered if you’d enjoy the Ashram, the world-famous California wellness retreat? A favorite with celebrities and serious athletes, it’s known for its hard-core fitness program, strict diet and cult-like following. Member Samantha Gregory, who found it wonderfully addictive, gives a candid review on our site. “It’s a bit like camp—but with all the services and great food and constant attention, I would say it’s far from rugged,” she writes. “The food was fantastic and really opened my eyes to how much we eat in our daily lives and how little we actually need.” Click here to read her postcard. Just posted: designer Lisa Fine’s postcard on Himalayan spa Ananda, which offers ayurvedic purification treatments and yoga in a spectacular setting.
