London Flower Show Text Size A A A
The Royal Horitcultural Society is a U.K.-based charity with one mission: to spread the joy of gardening throughout England. From May 20th-24th 2008, the organization will hold its annual Chelsea Flower Show on the grounds of the Chelsea Royal Hospital, a retirement and nursing home for former British soldiers. Garden designers from around the world will put together over 20 displays ranging from traditional country gardens, bolder, more contemporary ones and urban rooftop displays. For those interested in seeing the handiwork of some of the world’s greenest thumbs, the Draycott Hotel (www.draycotthotel.com), conveniently located between Chelsea and Knightsbridge, is offering a special package from Thursday May 22nd through Saturday May 24th. The deal includes all-day tickets to the show, a full English breakfast, Champagne at six and nighttime hot chocolate and costs £159 (about $314)/person/night. For reservations, please call 212-988-2611.
