Trips of Renewal Text Size A A A
From Indagare’s inception, our mission has been to help members make memorable journeys and meaningful connections throughout the world. As many of you know, your Indagare membership works on many different levels, whether it’s giving you access to special offers and discounts, or putting you in touch with experts who share insider tips and discoveries. This week, we are highlighting four ways the site and community can assist you, whether it’s by offering special opportunities (you can win a free weekend at renowned Mayflower Inn & Spa), sharing expert advice, or alerting you to noteworthy debuts.
Special Offer: Trips of Renewal
Write us about your favorite rejuvenation escape and qualify to win a special retreat at the Mayflower Inn & Spa. We know that Indagare members are discerning and well-traveled, and we would love to hear from you about a trip that renewed you, whether it was a retreat at a destination spa, an urban art adventure or a week of hiking. All submitted dispatches will be posted and eligible for the grand prize: a couple’s February weekend getaway at the Mayflower Inn & Spa. The Indagare editors will select the entry that is most original and inspiring as the winner. You can post your dispatches on the Discussion Board (under the subject Trips of Renewal) or email them to us: info@indagare.com.

Insider Advice: Art Basel Miami Beach
“Art Basel Miami Beach is a phenomenon, with 240 galleries exhibiting and seventeen satellites setting up camp around the city, so prioritizing can be a daunting task for even the most experienced fairgoers,” says Anthony Barzilay Freund, the editor in chief of Art + Auction. Freund is one of the art experts Indagare interviewed for tips and advice on how to get the most out of a trip to the seven-year-old fair, running from Dec. 4-7 in Miami. Read suggestions from the director of Sotheby’s Latin American division, gallery owners and museum directors, including what events not to miss: Art Basel Miami Beach.

First Look: Verbier
Verbier, the fabled Swiss resort whose slopes spread across four valleys, is not known for hotels; rather loyal visitors go for the charming chalets that are available for rent. Among the most coveted are those owned by CK Verbier, an exclusive company run by a British couple, whose houses feature an inspired mix of old and new. The debut of the season will be Bella Coola, a five-bedroom chalet whose living and dining rooms lead onto a large terrace with spectacular mountain views across the Val de Bagnes. The chalet is located between Verbier’s two lift stations of Medran and Savoleyres—easy access to the resort’s excellent off piste skiing. Posting soon: in-depth destination reports on Verbier, Lech, Courchevel and Megève.
