Palm Springs Family Style Text Size A A A

You Asked: What is the best resort in Palm Springs for a family vacation with kids aged 4 to 14?

Writer Carrie Doyle Karasyov (co-author of The Right Address and Wolves in Chic Clothing) had raved to me about a place she stayed in Palm Springs with other L.A. families, so I asked her to remind me which one it was and why it was so great. Her answer follows:

“It was La Quinta. I went there last year after Christmas for New Year’s and then for Easter. It’s really amazing for kids of all ages. They have tons of pools, tennis courts, kids’ camp. And then every day by the main pool, they have things like face painting, temporary tattoos, make your own teddy bears. They also have open clinics for kids on the main tennis/basketball court with Tracy Austin and NBA players. The food is great (seven restaurants), and the hotel itself is not cheesy. I arranged for six other families from L.A. to go with us last Easter, and they all worshiped it and are going back. Families with kids should ask to be near the main pool.”
