Travel with Olivier Bernier Text Size A A A

Olivier Bernier has led trips for donors to the Metropolitan Museum all over the world. He has a true cult following among the cultured and curious because he has an incredible ability to make history—be it 17th century Spain or 18th century Russia—come alive. This December, he is leading a trip for friends of the Met and other non-profits, including the Spoleto Festival, around the Yucatan to learn about the great Mayan kingdoms. Ten spots are being held for Indagare members by Academic Arrangements Abroad. The journey will begin in Mérida, the capital of the Yucatan, with excursions to the national anthropology museum and Chichnen Itzà. Then the group of eighty or so travelers will board Le Levant, a small French ship, to explore various Mayan sites, including Campeche, Uxmal and Tulum. Departs: Decembr 26, 2007 to January 4, 2008. Rates from $6,990.
