From an Indagare member who recently returned from Italy’s Aeolian Islands:
The island of Salina in the Aeolians: we had a great lunch at Signum Hotel and discovered a delicious bakery with Italian cookies nearby called Cosines Duci. Overall, it was a very sweet and interesting island. We also had a fantastic granita (better than any other anyplace in Aeolians) at Tano’s in Canetto on Lipari. Fresh picked mulberry and peach and so many others. Tano was terrific. We also took a great hike up Stromboli with Magmatrek; guides make it even more exciting and interesting. We hiked at 6pm to catch the sunset from a viewing platform.”
