MEXICO
• The brand new Mandarin Oriental, one of the hottest properties on the Riviera Maya, was sold out until recently, when some rooms opened up. The resort has a 25,000-square-foot spa.
CARIBBEAN
• Peter Island, an 1,800-acre private island in the BVI, is known for its gorgeous beaches and superb service. The resort was recently refurbished. One of our editors was just there.
