Arts/Culture: Places: New Year’s in Morocco
New Year’s in Morocco
Indagare member, T.H. spent the Christmas holiday in Marrakech staying at the Four Seasons and Kasbah Tamadot. Here are her impressions of the trip.
‘Thank you for setting up our most delightful trip—we loved every moment of the experience. Our guide was terrific and the itinerary was a perfect mix of learning, history, relaxation and hands-on experiences. We especially loved the cooking class with the kids and the ceramics workshop was one of the highlights of the trip. The family who ran the ceramics studio was so lovely and talented.
‘The Four Seasons (1 Boulevard de la Menara; 212 524 359 200) was so much better than I was expecting. It had a true Moroccan feel to it and the service was fabulous. It may be my favorite Four Seasons I’ve ever been to—including the George V!
‘New Years Eve at Kasbah Tamadot was amazing. The communal dining, belly dancers and fireworks all made the evening very festive. We loved hiking in the Atlas Mountains and hanging out at the hotel.
‘Our only issue came when Royal Air Maroc was delayed leaving Casablanca, causing us to miss our connection in London. Other than that, we will never book a vacation without calling Indagare! It was a very special holiday all due to Indagare’s amazing work planning the vision of the trip and organizing all the logistics and details.’
