Capri: Where to Shop: Overview

Capri’s Via Camerelle, Via V. Emanuele and Via Le Botteghe are mini versions of the world’s most glamorous shopping streets, and the rows of small boutiques, all with cream-colored awnings, read like a Who’s Who of international high-end shopping. In a few steps you come across Hermès, La Perla, Tod’s, Hogan and all the Italian labels, like Bulgari, Missoni, Pucci, Dolce & Gabbana and Moschino. While browsing the big names is one of the main draws of Capri town, there are also more authentic island finds to be discovered. And first-time visitors must get a pair of handmade sandals, an island tradition since such stylish women as Jackie O and Maria Callas stayed in the 1960s.
