Barcelona: Where to Stay: Hip: Hotel Omm

Hotel Omm

You’ll find a trendy thirty- and forty-something crowd of travelers and fashionable locals in the Omm’s imposing lobby, a huge space with a lounge, a cocktail bar, a Michelin-starred restaurant and a whimsical courtyard garden with giant bamboo-and-metal sculptures. From the white Juli Capella–designed marble façade to the Matrix-like corridors lined in black rubber, the Hotel Omm’s public areas are all about striking design. The rooms, though, are comfortable—minimalist and full of light with oak floors and a pale color palette. On the rooftop terrace, guests can sunbathe by the pool with gorgeous views of Gaudí’s nearby La Pedrera building. Book several days in advance for a table at the hotel’s much-raved-about restaurant, Moo, overseen by the renowned Roca brothers. Rooms from $347.
