The founder of this label, Sieglinde de Plas, (the daughter of a fashion model who worked for Balenciaga) claims that she has been obsessed with fashion for as long as she can remember. After she had two children of her own, she finally launched this label. Private trunk show sales led to the most stylish children’s clothing boutiques quickly picking up the brand. Customers loved the boho-chic of the collections. This past April, she opened the first Dino e Lucia boutique. St.-Tropez seemed the ideal spot for its high-quality laid-back aesthetic. (“Dino” and “Lucia” are names that de Plas fancied as a 12-year-old, when she used them in a poem she wrote.)
