Leading the Way: Teaching English in Hanoi

Teaching English in Hanoi

If you’ve ever entertained the notion of teaching English abroad, here’s your chance. Global Volunteers, a nonprofit that has been leading volunteer vacations all over the word for over two decades, recently added one more destination to its roster—Hanoi. Starting this July, the organization, in conjunction with the Department of International Cooperation in Vietnam’s Ministry of Education, will lead one and two-week trips to this rapidly changing Vietnamese city. Volunteers, who must fill out initial applications, will be responsible for teaching conversational English to both high school and university students for roughly four hours every day. Teachers and those with a background in education are encouraged to apply (three references are required or each application) though everyone is welcome. $2,595 for a two-week program; $2,195 for a one-week program. Visit www.globalvolunteers.org for trip dates and other information.
