A favorite of Indagare Insider Jill Kargman, VNH was opened by shoe designer Vanessa Noel in a restored 19th-century building in 2002 (it’s easy to find: Noel’s ever-tempting shoe boutique is on the ground floor). The eight rooms may be on the small side but are stylishly outfitted with Armani Casa bedside tables, plush feather beds with Frette sheets and Philippe Starck fixtures in the marble bathrooms. The Champagne bar on the first floor is a favorite amongst plugged-in visitors. Rooms from $340.
