Sydney: Where to Eat: Table for Two: Guillaume at Bennelong
Guillaume at Bennelong
Tucked into the southern “shell” of the Sydney Opera House, this is surely the city’s most romantically situated restaurant. Your date won’t be disappointed in the food either—Chef Guillaume Brahimi has three Michelin stars to his name and continues to innovate with his unique spin on French technique. Behold his whole Moreton Bay Bug (an alarming name for a sweetly flavored Australian crustacean) served with risotto and jamón Iberico or his salmon roulade, smoked in house. And what is it with Sydney’s star chefs? Guillaume, like Tetsuya, is known for his sunny personality and self-deprecating charm.
