Sydney: Where to Eat: Newcomers: Flying Fish

Flying Fish

Located on a restored historic wharf in a once neglected corner of the harbor, Flying Fish opened two years ago and immediately ascended to the top ranks of Sydney restaurant lists. In a soaring loft-like dining room with water views and a fantastical nautical-inspired glass sculpture dangling from the ceiling, the chef serves up imaginative takes on seafood, like reef fish served with edamame and crayfish butter. Tip: The private dining room is located in the midst of the spectacular modern wine cellar. A long table seating twenty-four sits surrounded by eighteen-foot-high walls of wine shelves.
