Owned by the Bennetton family, Bacaro sits above the Mondadori bookstore. To Americans this lounge upstairs from the city’s chicest shopping street almost looks like a café in a mall, but to Venitians who live with centuries old palazzos, its contemporary sterile look is considered high-style and hip. The crowd adds the glamour and food and drinks are surprisingly good.
