Corsica: Where to Eat: Setting: Ferme Auberge Campo de Monte

Ferme Auberge Campo de Monte

Operating out of the tiny kitchen of this ivy-covered ancient stone farmhouse on a hilltop east of the village, chef Pauline Juilliard turns out celebrated versions of her grandmother’s traditional recipes. Try the hearty mountain soup, roast veal with zucchini or Swiss chard and brocciu quenelles. After dessert—fritters macerated in eau-de-vie, fiadone or candied tangerines—coffee is served in the starlit garden overlooking the surrounding countryside. The restaurant serves dinner only, and reservations are a must.
