Indagare member Jackie Cittone Magid, traveled to Tuscany and Umbria with her husband in June 2009, recommends this trattoria, saying: “Our favorite restaurant discovery in Florence was Garga, a tiny and lively place that serves home-cooking. The chef took our order as the other waiters and sous chefs were singing amongst themselves.”

Update 2011: Several members have reported Garga has lost its touch, pointing to rude service and mediocre food. We hope the restaurant will regain its former luster but for now, we recommend avoiding it.
