Jacqueline Hampton, CSO

Chief Strategy Officer
It was her father’s pictures of Antarctica’s penguins hanging on the wall in her West Virginia childhood home that sparked Jacqueline’s interest in exploring the world. Her travel experiences since then are as eclectic as her education and career. Jacqueline earned an AB from Duke in international relations and an MBA from the University of Virginia—but regardless of whether her days were spent in school, investment banking, media or travel tech (as they are now), her next trip is never far from mind. Always up for a new adventure, you might find her surfing in Sayulita, bungee jumping in New Zealand, walking the Great Wall, or tasting cognacs in, well, Cognac! Jacqueline even attended culinary school, so when traveling, she often channels her inner Anthony Bourdain while exploring the local cuisine. Jacqueline thrives on helping others find the magic of travel, which is why she created Portico Travel, and she is excited to further that mission at Indagare.

Favorite Travel Memories: Exploring the Great Wall of China and then taking a train through the rural countryside; A helicopter ride over Glacier National Park; Hiking across the French Alps to join a crowd listening to live jazz right next to the Argentière Glacier; Swimming with hundreds of dolphins in Kaikoura, New Zealand; Whale watching in Mexico on a 15-foot boat!

Travel Wish List: Exploring Japan, extra bonus for cherry blossom season; Experiencing both water and land safaris in Botswana; Seeing the northern lights in a glass igloo at Kakslauttanen in FinlandAntarctica…to see those penguins live.
