Kathryn Nathanson, Productions, Indagare Studio

Director of Indagare Productions
Kathryn’s love of travel began early in life. She can’t remember a time when she wasn’t writing travel guides after her family trips, and she was always the go-to with friends and family for recommendations on where to stay, what to see and where to eat.

With a background in broadcast journalism and history, she originally thought her passion for international travel would lead to a career as a foreign correspondent in a news bureau abroad. After working at NBC News post college for TODAY, Nightly and Dateline—moving up from the Page Program to Field Producer — and following a brief stint in food and travel PR and marketing, Kathryn decided to make a career switch and move into the travel industry. She had a gut feeling that Indagare would need a multimedia department, and over the last few years she has worked to grow Indagare Productions into what it is today. She is passionate about telling stories and bringing those stories to life through video and immersive content.

Outside of work, you can find Kathryn running the reservoir in Central Park playing tennis, or dining at the latest restaurant openings in New York City. She has a passion for wine and mixology, and her favorite places to travel are destinations that involve a wine region and active adventure, in addition to cities with great history, rich cultural heritage and an excellent culinary scene.

Favorite meals abroad: “There are too many to list! Osteria Francescana in Modena—I ate here just weeks after it became number one in the world); Contramar and Maximo Bistrot in Mexico City; the original Em Sherif in Beirut; Brasserie Astoria in Stockholm; L’Avant Comptoir in Paris for the perfect small bites. I’ll stop myself here.”

Travel Wish List: India, Chile, New Zealand, Antarctica, Namibia and Botswana
