3 Days: Essential Mykonos
Mykonos lends itself to lazy days lounging by the pool, shopping and indulging in long lunches, so time here is best spent leisurely—and picking the right hotel is key; Indagare can match you with the best property for your needs. Here is just one example of what our destination experts can create for you.
Day 1
After settling in to your hotel, visit Ftelia Bay for a swim in a beautiful cove followed by lunch in a tavern overlooking the crystal blue water. In the afternoon, you can relax back at the hotel or choose from a variety of watersports including snorkeling, water skiing, tubing and parasailing. Indagare can arrange activities with an instructor who can accommodate all skill levels.
Day 2
This morning, depart on a private boat (with a guide, captain and chef) to explore the island of Delos, which claims to be the birthplace of twin mythical gods Apollo and Artemis. Next, sail to the inhabited island of Rinia—a unique isolated paradise, known for its natural beauty and terrific snorkeling. For lunch, enjoy a fresh fish BBQ on the beach. The boat, captain, chef and guide will be at your disposal to spend the day as you wish.
Day 3
Spend your last day on Mykonos at one of the island’s best beach clubs. Days are spent lounging on daybeds shaded by thatched roofs, but nights are a more lavish affair with DJs and dancing into the early hours. If you opt to skip the afternoon party scene, head back into town for some shopping along Mattogianni Street (sometimes spelled Matoyanni or Matogianni) and the little side streets that spill off of it.
Where To Stay
We only feature hotels that we can vouch for first-hand. At many of them, Indagare members receive special amenities, including upgrades, early check-in, breakfast, spa credits and more. Look for the Indagare Plus logo in the reviews.
