Some of the world’s most special places can only be visited by special means, and Tangier, at the northern tip of Morocco, is one of them. Our journey is one of the ultimate insider offerings, experienced via our unmatched relationships within Tangier’s creative community. Guests will go behind normally closed doors and walls—to see the private paradises, both small-scale and large, that a constellation of leading European and American interior designers have created for themselves. “Many of my favorite destinations are places with a community of fantastic people. Within hours of arriving in Tangier, I knew that it was such a spot,” says host and Indagare founder Melissa Biggs Bradley. “It’s a setting that blends European style with North African history and aesthetics—a magical place unlike anywhere else on the continent.”

What to Expect
Itinerary highlights and special experiences:
Private house tours
Experience Italian horticulturalist Umberto Pasti’s two Moroccan masterpieces: his tiny, secret city garden and his expansive, otherworldly 25-acre countryside Eden, Rohuna. Plus, houses in the city’s Old Mountain residential section —including the home of acclaimed interior designer Veere Grenney—whose gardens and gazebos have spectacular views of the Strait of Gibraltar and the coast of Spain, an hour away by ferry; and British antiques dealer Gordon Watson’s treasure-filled residence, where every piece has a story that Watson relates in a style worthy of Oscar Wilde or the Dowager Countess of Grantham. It’s the cocktail-hour version of Antiques Roadshow.
Museums & shopping
See The American Legation Institute for Moroccan Studies (TALIM, a museum and cultural center), along with the Kasbah Museum and other historical sites, as well as the medina, where you will enjoy guided shopping experiences at Tangier’s top boutiques.
