This compound, which is a 20-minute drive from the city center, is the perfect place for a leisurely lunch by the pool or a romantic dinner in the garden. Spread across more than a dozen acres are various buildings, including a grand greenhouse and a dance hall. Beldi Glassworks is one of the last Moroccan glassblowing operations (where you can see men making tea glasses by hand) and collections are sold in the nearby Beldi Verre. You can also shop in the adjoining showroom, which is part of a collection of artisans’ studios on the property (including one specializing in ceramics, another in carpets). There’s a magical bohemian charm to the grounds, so it is well worth a visit and a meal. Note: the shops close at 6pm, so if you want to combine shopping with a meal, come for lunch.
