Gorillas in Rwanda

Indagare is thrilled to offer a journey for our members that takes a deep dive into the culture, history and wildlife of Rwanda through special guided tours and gorilla trekking in the forest.

What to Expect

This Insider Journey takes our members through the jungles of Rwanda to see the elusive, endangered Silverback Gorillas and other native creatures like the Golden Monkey. Travelers will experience an intimate look at these gentle, social creatures on guided treks and visits with our expert local partners.

The trip also includes a tour of Rwanda’s buzzing capital, Kigali, that sheds local insight on the horrors of the Rwandan Genocide of April 1994 and focuses on inspiring rebuilding efforts. With a visit to an ex-poacher’s village, a community walk through a traditional Rwandan village and special hikes, this meaningful and adventurous trip will explore the countless ways in which the history of the home of one of nature’s most glorious animals can come to life.
