Review
This gracious and charming guesthouse first opened in the heart of Franschhoek 1991 and has one of the top restaurants in the Southern Hemisphere. Now a part of the Leeu Collection (which also operates Leeu Estates and Leeu House), Le Quartier Français has 30 rooms and two villas, which are set around a small pool and sculpture garden. The lovely accommodations feature a soft color palette with primarily creams and pastel tones and wood-burning fireplaces.
Dining is a priority here, and guests can eat at the the casual, all-day Garden Room, drink at The Bar at LQF or opt for a tasting menu experience at La Petite Colombe, which implements seasonal produce and has a great rare and fine wine selection. Guests at Le Quartier Français can also make use of the small on-property gym.
