Singita Mara River Camp, a member of the Singita Grumeti family of lodges, is located in the northern Serengeti on the banks of the Mara river, where there is an incredible concentration of wildlife. In the months of June, July and August, it occupies an incredible position to see the annual Great Migration. With only six tents (four doubles and two family tents, which can accommodate two adults and two children), the camp offers an intimate experience with excellent guides. Operating on solar power, the camp is eco camping at its most stylish. Unzip the canvas flap to enter your tent and you will find a double bed made up with fine linens. The lounge tent features hip wicker armchairs and chaise lounges with views of the river. There’s a hipster meets Hemingway aspect to the décor that strikes just the right note for a modern take on refined living in the wilderness. Most visitors combine a stay here with the Singita Grumeti properties; this should be the first stop. The camp is open ten months of the year (closed in March and April.)
