The world’s tallest freestanding mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro lures hikers, climbers and thrill seekers alike to Tanzania to summit Africa’s highest peak. A physically and mentally challenging adventure, the trip is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and the journey is as inspiring as the destination. On this special group trip you’ll be guided by a team of experts that has your back on the way up—and down.

In the words of Indagare’s Diana Li, who scouted out this itinerary and successfully summited Mount Kilimanjaro: “I discovered more about myself than my surroundings. I had time to listen and be fully present. I focused on achieving a single goal with a community that taught me oneness and perseverance.”

Trip Highlights

  • Expert expedition support Ascend along the spectacular Machame Route—considered the most beautiful one, from farmland to lush rainforest to alpine meadows—with the security and support of expert local mountain guides, all necessary camping and safety equipment and the 24/7 assistance of the Indagare international network.

  • Enjoy VIP camp services as you climb Porters will carry your gear for you and set up a comfortable campsite every day in advance of your arrival; the next morning, they will dismantle the camp after your departure, so that you can focus on the challenge at hand. You will also have shower and toilet tents (a luxury on Kilimanjaro), as well as a communal dining tent, where you can relax with your fellow climbers over nourishing meals prepared by your dedicated chef.

  • Spend two nights at the peaceful Arusha Coffee Lodge in Tanzania Explore Tanzania’s Arusha National Park prior to your climb to acclimatize and prepare for your six-night expedition.
