This Journey's Host

Architectural Digest is a vibrant celebration of international design talents, innovative homes and products, inspiring decorating ideas, culture, and travel. Launched in 1920 as a California trade quarterly, the magazine evolved over the years, increasing in frequency and broadening in scope until it became the byword for living well. Today AD publishes nine international editions, as well as a website, and its brand has immeasurable influence in the world of interior design and style. On this journey, you will be joined by Mitchell OwensAD’s Decorative Arts Editor. Owens has held editorial positions at leading newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, and has written about interior decoration, architecture, art and landscape design for publications ranging from The World of Interiors to Out, of which he was a founding editor. Long fascinated by Islamic architecture and design, Mitch and his family spent the early 2000s living in Marrakech, at a house in the medina that they called “Dar Cati.”
